Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
